This week, GPower attended the European Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) Summit—an event where the world’s best LabVIEW programmers gather to discuss new features and architectures, and to network with other CLAs and members from National Instruments (NI).
A mecca for LabVIEW developers
Every year, NI hosts a CLA Summit in both Europe and the USA. The European event, which can be described as a mecca for LabVIEW developers, was held this year in Krakow from April 2–4, 2019.
To attend the event, an active CLA certification is required, which is the final step in the three-part LabVIEW certification process:
This year’s meeting place for LabVIEW experts
Based on the above, this event is therefore also reserved for a small group of LabVIEW experts, which typically results in a pleasant and intimate atmosphere with opportunities for small group discussions and one-to-one meetings at the highest level within LabVIEW. For example, Steen Secher Schmidt and Jens Christian Andersen ran into Jeff Kodosky, who is referred to as the “Father of LabVIEW” (see the top image).

Although this year only Steen and Jens Christian represented GPower, we fully expect to attend with a larger team next year, as we plan to train more CLAs in the near future.
