About GPower
Your partner in modular and scalable test solutions
About GPower
At GPower, we develop automated test and measurement solutions for companies where quality, robustness, and reliability are critical. Our solutions are used from R&D to production and are designed with a focus on code reuse across the value chain, making development, maintenance, and scaling more efficient.
We specialize in modular and scalable test systems based on LabVIEW and TestStand. With some of Denmark’s most specialized developers, we take responsibility for the entire process—from idea and development to implementation—so you can focus on your core business.
With more than 175 years of combined experience, we deliver solutions that are efficient, stable, and future-proof, creating value both now and in the long term.

The GPower Way
At GPower, great software does not happen by chance. It is created through clear principles, structured development, and a focus on built-in quality.
The GPower Way is our approach to developing software and delivering projects. The method has been developed through many years of experience with advanced test and automation solutions in industries where stability, traceability, and reliability are essential.
The result is solutions that are modular, scalable, and built to last.
A shared development framework
The GPower Way creates a shared framework for how we plan, develop, and deliver our projects.
Standardized and modular foundation
By working from a standardized yet modular software foundation, we ensure that communication, requirements management, quality, and reuse are a natural part of the process.
Reduced complexity and technical debt
The GPower Way reduces complexity, minimizes technical debt, and makes solutions easier to evolve—both during the project and in the years that follow.
Stable and predictable deliveries
The result is stable projects, predictable deliveries, and high technical quality.
Why GPower?
The advantage of modular software
Higher quality
Based on a standardized yet modular system consisting of core libraries and proven modules, we can deliver solutions of the highest quality.
Lower costs
In many cases, we deliver solutions consisting of only 20–30% new source code, resulting in lower costs.
Shorter development time
By reusing elements from ‘Project A’ and ‘Project B’ in ‘Project C’, we significantly shorten development time compared to developing the software from scratch each time.
Greater flexibility
Because we define the software ourselves, we can easily and quickly adapt your instruments or systems, and we can also continuously develop them based on your needs.
GPower Actor Framework
To support The GPower Way, we have developed the GPower Actor Framework. The framework is based on the actor principle, where software is divided into independent components—called actors. Each actor performs a specific function and communicates with other actors via messages.
This architecture makes it possible to develop flexible systems where functionality can be extended, replaced, or reused without affecting the rest of the system.
Reuse across projects
Actors can be reused in different solutions, reducing development time and ensuring consistent quality.
Extend without breaking existing solutions
New features can be added without affecting or changing existing components.
Flexible architecture
The system topology can be composed and adapted in new ways as needs and requirements change.
Robust and scalable software
The result is stable solutions with high technical quality and architectures that can grow and evolve over time.
Over the years, GPower has delivered many future-proof solutions for us, and we clearly recommend GPower to others looking for LabVIEW development of the highest quality.
– Roar Poulsen, Siemens Gamesa
Member of CenSec
GPower has become a member of CenSec – Center for Defence, Space & Security, Denmark’s national cluster for companies and organizations within defence, space, and security.
With the membership, we strengthen our connection to a strong network of companies and knowledge institutions, and gain an even better opportunity to contribute our expertise in test and measurement solutions based on LabVIEW and TestStand.
I founded GPower with the ambition of challenging an industry practice where the focus was often on hours spent rather than value creation. By developing a modular software platform in which proven components are reused and further developed, we deliver high-quality solutions faster and at a more competitive price.

The story behind
2012
How it all started
Founder Steen Secher Schmidt founded GPower in 2012 with the ambition of changing the mindset he saw as prevalent in the industry. In his view, common practice was to sell as many consulting hours as possible instead of ensuring customers received high-quality solutions at a good price.
Steen turned his ambition into reality by working day and night to develop modular base software that enables reuse and adaptation of software elements from previous projects. All with the purpose of delivering quality instruments at a better price to increase accessibility for small and medium-sized companies as well—something that would prove to be a revolution in the industry.
The idea was to make the instruments up to 80% complete already at the start of the design phase, instead of starting from scratch every time. As Steen often puts it, the previous tendency has been that customers do not get far despite large bills, because elements from ‘Project A’ and ‘Project B’ are not used in ‘Project C’. Instead, the software is developed from scratch each time, which is expensive, time-consuming, and rarely good.
